boXpert b.v. and its founders share a deep and longstanding connection with the packaging industry. Unlike most companies, we’ve gained unique insights into die-cutting through years of selling die-making products, giving us a perspective that sets us apart from typical trading firms. Initially, we dealt in Bobst SP 900 die-cutters—remarkable machines from the 1950s and 60s. Later, we moved on to the Bobst SP 102 models, often dubbed the 'Volkswagen Beetle' of automatic die-cutters for their reliability and iconic status. Interestingly, these 20+ year-old machines were often pricier than brand-new Asian alternatives. Today, the market demands younger, faster, and more powerful equipment, also with stripping and blanking.
